We loved celebrating Carly and Jason in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin! Their East Coast style wedding involved non-stop music for four hours (8pm-12am).
Their ceremony was outside, and our band had a trio featuring a soprano sax, piano, and guitar.
For cocktails, we DJ'd a playlist while the band made their way back inside for the reception.
At 8:00 pm, once the ballroom doors opened, the band played around a 10-15 minute dance set, just enough to get everyone inside!
We asked guests to move to the edge of the dance floor and introduced Carly and Jason right into their first dance.
After toasts, our piano and guitar played throughout guests enjoying salads, and then we played another dance set. When guests took their seats for entrees, compared to just guitar & keys for piano for salads, this time our vocalist joined in and sang "Sunday Morning" by Maroon 5 and "I Want It That Way" with guitar and piano. This gave everyone an opportunity to enjoy the music from their seats and snap along while entrees were being served.
After entrees, we did the mother-son and father-daughter dance, and then the band played continuously with no breaks for another two hours. We opened up this dance set with the Hora because it gets all family and friends on the dance floor, ready to kick off the biggest portion of dancing!
Some of Carly & Jason's special requests we played included:
Love Story - Taylor Swift
What My World Spins Around - Jordan Davis
Still Into You - Paramore
The Basement - Eric Hutchinson
